Challenge #5: Dry Skin Brushing

Are you ready to get your Glow on? Today's tip is just one of the many approaches in my Ready, Set, GLOW 7-day Detox program. Consider joining me for the next 7 day cleanse if you want to ramp up the energy & vibrancy in your life!

In today's challenge I'm going to show you a cheap & very effective way to help your body detox itself naturally.....because we're miraculously made like that!

Key Points from the Vid:
 - Always use firm strokes towards the heart.
 - Brush skin daily for 2 minutes right before showering...the heat from your shower will help accelerate the detox process
 - In addition to the benefits of brushing that I mentioned in the video...you may also like to know that this is one of the most effective way to get rid of cellulite! That cottage cheese is merely fat & toxins trapped below the skin so the increase in circulation from brushing is going to help move that on & out!

Resources:

 - Check out IHerb for really cheap prices on all health products including the ingredients in the shake from yesterday.
 - Have you joined the conversations happening on the Facebook Wall yet? Keep the great questions, comments & ideas coming!

Today's QuoteWhat then shall i do this morning? how we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives . . . there is no shortage of good days. it is good lives that are hard to come by. ~Annie Dillard

  1. I am a size 4, but like every woman I have some cellulite on my thighs (boo). I've been dry brushing a few times a week for a few months. I'm still trying to remember to do it every morning. I usually remember about 10 seconds AFTER I've gotten in the shower (partly bc I'm trying to workout and get dressed in between feeding my kids breakfast and taking them to school. My mornings are rush rush rush!). Anyway, have you  noticed that it gets worse before it gets better? I swear my thighs look worse. I also have a face brush that I'm trying to remember to use. We moved from the humid South to the dry West 2 years ago and my skin hasn't recovered. It is so dry now and I swear it has aged me 10 years (as in I look almost my age now, which I hate). So I'm looking for dry skin relief and youthful glow returned!

  2. Hmm - I haven't noticed this myself but this is often the case with many things when you're body is detoxing. Try increasing your healthy fats (avocado, coconut oil, nuts/seeds) and apply coconut oil topically!
