Luck be a Healthy Lady

Oh Vegas...you will always have a special place in my heart. With our 5 year anniversary approaching, we decided to visit the old wedding stomping ground. It was a perfect 4 day trip and I thought I'd share a few things that helped us Veg heads avoid the unhealthy & costly vortex of the strip. Let's tell this story through pictures:
Gotta have the window seats for this trip!
Supercala Excited face now that we've landed
Stayed at the new Vdara Hotel....awesome!
Booked this hotel primarily because there are full kitchens in every room. And there's no smoky casino which is always good to avoid when pregnant...and all other times in your life ;)

Day 1: Attended a great (& free) yoga class at Lululemon at the Fashion Show Mall in the morning. Then bought a 3 days bus pass for $20 so that we could go easily from this end of the strip to the other where we found....
My kind of candy store! Time to stock up our little kitchen.
This particular WF was on healthy steroids

The hired help is not too shabby either ;)
I packed our Magic Bullet and protein powder so we could start every day with smoothies.
Picked up lots of fresh/frozen fruit, granola & coconut milk/ yogurt from WF
Also packed soaked almonds & Larabars for healthy snacking
First great restaurant we hit up was Yolos at Planet Hollywood.  Delish Veg Enchilladas and  possibly one to many chips
But they're totally great for sharing
Good Morning!
The next night was perfect. Tickets to La Reve at the Wynn and dinner at Switch at the Encore.  The entire Wynn/Encore hotel has vegan option at their restaurants now that owner Steve Wynn is vegan!
I had the Chick'n Parm with Eggless Fettuccini noodles. (Gardein brand)
Hubs had the Spinach, Onion & Rice Cheeze Pizza which was also amazing!
Seriously....how do these people move their bodies like this? The show was unreal ! It was our first Cirque show & we weren't sure what we'd think of it but it was spectacular.
Happy Faces the next morning
Afternoon yogurt, granola & fruit made right in our little kitchen
Yogurt gets the thumbs up
A trip down memory lane. We were married in the Gardens at Caesar's Palace 5 years ago
That night we had another amazing dinner at Lemongrass at Aria.
We ordered 2 different types of Tofu Curry
Let's stop for a moment to take this in ;)
A little pool time in the afternoon. I've been meaning to read this book for a while now and breezed right through it on this trip during my morning treadmill sessions and pool time. You have to get this book!
Where'd you go belly?
One of my many shopping adventures. This Sephora by the Venetian is so structurally beautiful and will be serving as inspiration for paint in one of the rooms of our new house.
Happy kids after a beautifully relaxing trip!

Until next year Vegas...
