Preparing to Cleanse

If you've been thinking about doing a cleanse, it's really important that you first take a Prep Week. This is most important because the more plan-ful you are, the more successful you'll be!

I spent some time this morning stocking up my fridge with fresh produce (we're beginning the juicing a bit early in our house)
I also soaked about 4 cups of legumes to cook up. This is a great practice to get into each week - you can even freeze the cooked legumes afterwards for quick use in recipes!
You've been posting some GREAT Questions on the Facebook wall - I encourage you all to take a look there as you may have had some of the same questions.

As you are doing your shopping & meal planning this week, I thought I would list off a few meal ideas that use all the "allowed" foods for our cleanse. My best tip to you is to always make more than what you'll eat for dinner so that you have lunch ready for the next day. I'm not going to lie - eating healthy does take time & effort, so you have to learn to be efficient in the kitchen!
Multitasking Tip: While preparing Veggies for Dinner, wash & chop your veggies for your morning juice and place them in a bowl in the fridge.
Here are some Recipes to try:
SOUPS:

SALADS:
~ Creamy Tomato Spinach Salad (avoid if you have allergic reactions to tomatoes)
~ Cruciferous Detox Salad (omit currents & raisins. Sub Apple Cider Vinegar for maple syrup)

MAINS:
~ Bean Based (Grain Free) Pizza Crust: top with pesto & lots of veggies!

These are just some ideas. Keep in mind that you can now buy things like quinoa pasta & millet bread - so that will help you eat close to how you do know (but without the cruddy feeling)

I want to leave you with 2 tasks to do before this week is over:

#1: I want you to write down or print images of what your INSPIRATION is to be healthier. {2 of mine are those ladies to the left}
This is powerful and very important in getting you through what might be a tough couple of weeks. It's vital that we connect our emotions with our goals. Which leads me to #2...

#2: I want you to plan in some fun activities to do this month with your new-found energy! The purpose of this is to not only reward you for your efforts, but to connect special memories with optimal health. There will come a time sometime this year that you'll fall off the health wagon and remembering how great you feel this month will help you get back on track!
