THE SUPERNATURAL HOME
using doTERRA essential oils + simple products
CLEAN had a smell back in the 80s + 90s when I was growing up …
A mixed brew of Windex, Pine Sol + Sea Breeze astringent. I actually quite liked the smell of the last two ... but I always thought that Windex was out to kill me.
Turns out I was onto something.
It was about 15 yrs ago that I first started coming across info about how much our toxic burden was increasing.
At that point, it was already understood that the indoor air quality of the average home was at least 2-5x more polluted than the air outside the home.
I started dabbling in Aromatherapy and continued to be pretty casual about it until I had Emmerson in 2011.
For her first whole year, her body was inflamed with eczema.
I hadn't gone through this with Chloe so I navigated it day by day with socks on her hands until finally one day I noticed a pattern: when someone wearing perfume would hold her - her body would flare up for days.
And that's when I realized that SO many things in our home had fragrance in them ⚠️
Specifically, the 'natural" laundry detergent I was using that I thought had lavender in it but missed the memo.
My girls love knowing that each of their births marked an inception point.
I started my HOL:FIT brand in 2009 during my mat leave with Chloe.
And then in 2013 | integrated doTERRA initially to start making all of our own cleaning + various skincare products.
Emme’s skin cleared up within a month and she has never had a single rash return.
It will always feel special for me to help another person start with doTERRA. Because I know what is about to unfold for them just as it did for me.
And I especially love providing simple + effective cleaning approaches that make the whole process of taking care of your home a joy. You’ll very quickly notice an increase of peace within your four walls too 🤍

Using pure doTERRA oils + products is a simple way to reduce your toxic load and leverage the power of plant wisdom.
The EWG estimates that the air quality in our homes can be 5x more polluted than the outside air because of the chemicals
we use to clean, to take care of ourselves and the chemicals found within furniture, flooring etc.
Over 85,000 chemicals have been introduced over the last 50 years and 90% weren’t tested on human health before hitting the market.
Aprrox 450 chemicals are emitted into our home through the use of conventional cleaning products, including a number of compounds linked to asthma, childhood developmental harm and cancer.
Using or making green + natural cleaners is one of the easiest ways to reduce your toxic load and support your body systems as you do.

GARDENING RECIPES
using essential oils
One of my fave routines is to add lemon, basil + marjoram to my diffuser (see all my fave diffuser blend combinations here) and then I gather all my house plants to a sunny spot of the house. I fill a watering can with a water and a few drops of lemon + basil and water each plant as it soaks up the sun. I trim away any dead leaves and use a fork to mix in a little compost into the soil.
I also love playing music through the house and here a nice playlist that is believed to promote growth in the plants.
